What's new

  1. See what's happening on every project

Updates on each project now also show who added or finished a task and moved the project on.

Open a project and pick Updates. Between the posts, a line says who added, finished or reopened a task, and who moved, archived or restored the project; several tasks by one person that day are one line. The people on the project see the same, without status moves. Hours, pay and rates never show here. For owners and managers.

  2. See the days you haven't tracked

Days you were planned on a project show up on Track until you track them. Set your workday, and Track fills it in.

It sits at the top of Track: the last 14 days you were planned on a project and tracked nothing on it. Track fills in the project, the day and your workday; the X hides a day. Set the workday under Organisation → General. Everyone sees their own days.

  3. Keep files on every project

Documents, PDFs and photos, right on the project. Everyone on it can open them and add their own.

Open a project: Files sits above Location on its Overview. Add files there, or drop them on it. Photos, video, audio, PDFs and text open right in GoodHour, and every file downloads. Owners, managers and the people on the project see and add files; they find them on each project in their Schedule. For owners and managers.

  4. Share updates on every project

Post photos, videos and notes on a project. Everyone on it can reply, and @ pulls someone in.

Open a project and pick Updates. Owners, managers and the people on the project can post photos, videos and notes and reply under each other's; type @ to pull someone in. You hear about mentions and replies in the bell, and by push or email under Account → Notifications. For owners and managers.

  5. See your projects as a board

Give each project a status and drag it on to the next step. Start from Quote, In progress, Done and Invoice, and make the steps your own.

Find it under Projects → Board. Drag a project to another column to change its status, or use the Status button on the project page. The steps are your team's own: rename, reorder or add them under Organisation → Project statuses. A status is a label; it doesn't lock or send anything. For owners and managers.

  6. Put your logo and color on GoodHour

Your logo becomes the app icon on home screens, and buttons take your color.

Find it under Organisation → Brand. Your logo also sits at the top of the app and on the browser tab. Adding a logo picks a color from it; you can pick another or mix your own, and text on buttons turns black or white to stay readable. For owners.

  7. Search projects, people and hours

Find a project, a person, a client or an hour note, and go straight to it from the top bar.

Press ⌘K, Ctrl+K or / from anywhere, and narrow to a project, client or period. For owners and managers.

  8. Every project at a glance

Open a project to see hours against the estimate, who worked on it this month, and how many items are done.

Brief, tasks, people, schedule and location on one page, with the address on a map.

  9. Write a brief for each project

Note the goal, what's in and what's out, right on the project.

It opens the project's Overview. Click the text to edit it.

  10. Break projects into items

Give each item an estimate in hours, see what's tracked and what's left, and tick items off when they're done.

Drag items into order and add a note to each. People on the project can add items and tick them off too.

  11. Track hours against an item

When a project has items, pick one as you track. Each item shows its hours against the estimate.

The hours count toward that item on the project's Overview.

  12. Plan your projects on the Schedule

See every project across the weeks, draw when it runs, and pick who's on it.

Click an empty day to plan a project, and drag a bar's ends to move its dates. People see their own projects in their calendar.

  13. Manage hours from your AI assistant

Connect GoodHour to Claude, ChatGPT, Gemini or Copilot. Set up projects, see who worked on what, and run pay — just by asking.

Set it up under Account → AI apps in four steps. It's asked to check with you before it pays or invites anyone. Included on paid plans.
